Hello.

Countries + Coffees is a blog about special neighbourhoods, local atmosphere and stellar coffee. The idea for it ignited from my love to hangout in coffee shops when exploring the world, and these haunts simultaneously offered an inspiring space to pull my notebook out and do something creative. And so I decided to record the fond memories of the special places experienced and explored.

Living in the beautiful English countryside, I am essentially a country soul. But I get invigorated and inspired by big cities, their hustle and bustle, urban decay and multitude of people. I mainly concentrate on cities, but the blog will be sprinkled with some muddy walks, open spaces and memories of roadtrips down winding roads.

Countries + Coffees centres around the way my other half and I like to travel the best; soaking up the local atmosphere, spending very little time in tourist hubs, finding food markets, walking until it hurts and taking plenty of tasty breaks. And just as coffee shops are pillars of many communities, they are pillars of many of our voyages. As we work full time, writing can be a bit sporadic at times. But I hope that you get inspired by some of the destinations I have loved and admired.
